Oprah Winfrey said her so-called "90-year-old walk" at Paris Fashion Week was simply because she couldn’t see. She recalled people online mocking her and Gayle King, and added, "I didn’t know where I was walking, I could not see." She said she told security, "I can’t see.

I can’t see. Tell me, tell me where I’m walking. I can’t see." She explained an assistant had handed her Chloe sunglasses before she exited the car; the shades "were not prescription glasses." Oprah noted she usually "wears glasses or contacts." Walking with King, she said her friend told her, "I got two broken toes.

I can’t walk," which she offered as the reason they looked elderly as they arrived. Footage from the March 4 show at the Tennis Club de Paris showed the 72-year-old taking small steps in sleek sunglasses, a cropped yellow jacket, jeans and low heels. King, 71, followed in a black leather blazer and rust-colored slacks.
