Oura rolls out women's health AI in Oura Labs — how to try it
Oura is rolling out a custom women's health model inside its personal health chatbot, Oura Advisor. The experimental feature is available through Oura Labs and combines a user’s biometric data with answers sourced from research vetted by the company’s board of clinicians.
The model is Oura’s first proprietary large language model, trained on clinical sources and research guidelines approved by certified clinicians and women’s health experts. It will surface when users ask about menstrual cycles or pregnancy—questions like how to improve sleep during the third trimester, why a cycle has become irregular, or how the cycle affects stress and activity trigger the custom women’s health responses.
Dr. Tanvi Jayaraman said a more custom model makes the advisory experience more personalized and tailored to female members. Oura emphasizes the model is not a doctor and should not be used for diagnosis or treatment. The company positions the chatbot as a way to discover wellness patterns that users can bring to health professionals.
