Over twenty years after its 2005 debut, Constantine has climbed the streaming charts and is now one of the most-streamed movies on AMC+ in the U.S. Keanu Reeves, best known for action and sci-fi franchises like John Wick and The Matrix, led the DC adaptation as the weary demon hunter John Constantine.

Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film featured an ensemble cast including Rachel Weisz, Tilda Swinton, Djimon Hounsou and Shia LaBeouf. Reeves’ portrayal was tired and on the edge, a contrast to the slick, gritty superheroes of the time. The long-rumored sequel has edged closer to reality, though it remains distant.

Reeves said, "Fingers crossed. Another draft of the script came in. We’re waiting. We’re gonna take it to the studio and hopefully they like it too." Peter Stormare added, "I think he wants to do his character again, Constantine, as grounded as it was in the first one.
