Over $657M in crypto tokens set to unlock in early January 2026

Beincrypto reports that crypto tokens worth $657 million will unlock in early January 2026, led by Hyperliquid (HYPE), Ethena (ENA) and Aptos (APT).

Hyperliquid will release 12.46 million HYPE on January 6, valued at about $330.51 million; released supply is 345.08 million HYPE and total supply is roughly 1 billion, with all unlocked tokens awarded to core contributors after a 9.92 million HYPE release last week. Ethena will unlock 171.88 million ENA on January 5, worth $42.91 million (released supply 7.24 billion, total supply 15 billion); 93.75 million will go to core contributors and 78.13 million to investors. Aptos will release 11.31 million APT on January 11, worth $21.94 million (released supply 1.62 billion, total supply 2.6 billion); allocations include 3.96 million to core contributors, 3.21 million to the community, 2.81 million to investors and 1.33 million to the foundation.

The token unlocks will inject fresh liquidity into the market and can also trigger price swings and volatility. In addition to HYPE, ENA and APT, other projects such as Linea (LINEA), Movement (MOVE) and IOTA (IOTA) will see new supply enter the market this week as tokens are released over the next seven days.
