Overwatch mid-season update tweaks Mizuki model and several heroes
Calls to redesign Anran’s in-game face followed her model reveal, with both her voice actor and fans saying the in-game look didn’t match pre-release artwork. Game director Aaron Keller had said the team was "hoping to make" an update to Anran’s design later in season 1, but the mid-season update made no change to her model.
Instead, players noticed Mizuki’s unmasked face in his Streetwear skin had been quietly adjusted to a wider, sharper jawline. The patch also made gameplay changes for Mizuki: Remedy Aura’s radius increased from 10 to 12 metres, while degeneration delay was reduced from 2 to 1.75 seconds, making it easier to reach more players but slightly harder to maintain heals.
Several hero perk shifts arrived too: Jetpack Cat’s Territorial major perk was removed, Claws Out moved from minor to major with its old six-second cooldown reinstated, and a new minor perk, Ulterior Motive, converts 15% of primary attack healing into fuel.
