Oxford United player tragically dies aged 15 after collapsing in academy match

Amelia Aplin, a 15-year-old Oxford United academy player, has died after collapsing during a girls’ academy match against Fulham at the club’s Horspath training centre on Saturday. The club confirmed the news on Sunday, saying: "The thoughts and sincere condolences from everyone at Oxford United are with Amelia’s family, friends, teammates and coaches."
