Paramount sues Warner Bros. Discovery over Netflix deal disclosures
Movieweb reports that, according to Variety, Paramount has filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros. Discovery after WBD rejected Paramount Skydance's eighth attempt to acquire the company; the suit, filed January 12, 2026 in Delaware Chancery Court, seeks to force WBD to disclose financial details of its $83 billion deal with Netflix and names CEO David Zaslav and other board members as defendants.
The complaint alleges the board “breached their disclosure duties by failing to provide full, accurate, and truthful information,” and says Paramount is seeking targeted material disclosures so WBD shareholders can make an informed decision about Paramount’s tender offer.
