Passengers pick the world's 10 best airports, led by Singapore Changi
Singapore Changi Airport has been named the world's best once again in the Skytrax World Airport Awards, announced in London. The accolades are based on questionnaires completed by airport customers of over 100 nationalities between August 2025 and February 2026.
Qatar's Hamad International withdrew from the awards amid the Iran war, saying the safety and well‑being of passengers, staff, and their families remained the airport's absolute priority. The Doha hub had ranked second in 2025 and first the year before.
Asian airports dominate the top 10 with five entries; Europe has four and North America one. This year adds two newcomers to the top 10 — Vancouver and Istanbul — and no US airport made the top 20.
The top 10: 10 Vancouver, 9 Munich, 8 Istanbul, 7 Rome Fiumicino, 6 Paris Charles de Gaulle, 5 Tokyo Narita, 4 Hong Kong, 3 Tokyo Haneda, 2 Seoul Incheon, 1 Singapore Changi.
