Pattinson to Play Villains in The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three

Robert Pattinson is set to play the primary villain in both Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Three and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, taking on the shape-shifting Face Dancer Scytale and the suitor leader Antinous. Scytale’s appearance in the Dune: Part Three trailer was one of the most talked-about elements, showing a mostly white-haired, white-skinned warrior who can change his appearance at will.

The character is responsible for conspiring to dethrone Paul Atreides and, unlike Austin Butler’s wild and violent Feyd‑Rautha Harkonnen from Dune: Part Two, Scytale is more calculating in his schemes. In The Odyssey, Pattinson will portray Antinous, the slimy leader of the suitors vying for Penelope’s hand.

In the original epic Antinous is greedy and ruthless, seeking to destroy Odysseus’s family and usurp his throne, and he is regarded as the primary antagonist even as Matt Damon’s Odysseus faces other threats on his journey home to Ithaca.
