Paul Greengrass to Direct New Action Thriller 'Test Drive'

Paul Greengrass, who helped reshape the modern action thriller with 2004's The Bourne Supremacy and its use of the notorious shaky cam, is in negotiations to direct a new project titled Test Drive for 20th Century.

After helming last year's Oscar-nominated survival drama The Lost Bus, Greengrass returns to the genre with Test Drive. The studio picked up a script by Matt Venne following an aggressive bidding war.

Described as a 'two-hander action thriller,' few further details have been revealed, though the studio hopes to begin filming either at the end of this year or the beginning of next.

Based on the title, Test Drive will likely center on vehicular action, with 20th Century searching for the right two leads for a film that will be linked to Greengrass's Bourne work.
