Peacock expands into AI-driven video, mobile-first live sports and gaming
Peacock is placing a big bet on AI and mobile-first entertainment, reshaping its app into a blend of short-form video, casual gaming and traditional streaming. The company previewed a slate of features that include an AI-powered vertical video experience led by a digital avatar of Andy Cohen, vertical live NBA broadcasts and new mobile games designed to keep viewers on their phones longer.
The flagship feature, "Your Bravoverse," targets dedicated Bravo fans by pulling clips from more than 5,000 hours of footage and stitching them into personalized playlists. Viewers start by choosing favorite shows and moments, then a generative AI avatar of Andy Cohen narrates, links storylines and suggests new content.
Behind the scenes, computer vision flags key moments and AI agents trained on fan behavior decide what to surface, producing more than 600 billion possible viewing variations. The mobile rollout is slated for this summer, with living-room devices to follow.
