Peaky Blinders Surges on Streaming as Cillian Murphy Prepares Film

Cillian Murphy's post-Oscar choices have leaned toward small, character-driven work. His first film after Oppenheimer was Small Things Like These, followed by Steve; both were directed by Tim Mielants, who previously worked with Murphy on Peaky Blinders. In March Murphy will return as Thomas Shelby in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the feature-film follow-up to the series.

With The Immortal Man on the horizon, viewers have revisited Peaky Blinders. FlixPatrol placed the series among the most-watched on the domestic iTunes charts this week, a leaderboard topped by the FX drama Love Story. Created by Steven Knight, Peaky Blinders aired on the BBC in the UK and on Netflix internationally, running six seasons and 36 episodes from 2013 to 2022.

The show holds a 93% overall score on Rotten Tomatoes, with the second, third and sixth seasons at 100%.
