Pickmon, a game that borrows heavily from Pokémon, Breath of the Wild and Palworld, has drawn attention for its developer and publisher names. The developer appears under two different names in the debut trailer—"PocketGame" and "PokeGame"—and the publisher is listed as NETWORKGO.

NETWORKGO's only other game, Hainya World, looks like it ripped its designs straight from MapleStory. Two Pokémon fan artists say Pickmon copied their designs for Mega Ceruledge and Mega Meganium. Artist el.psy.fake posted on Instagram that Pickmon "has also stolen one of my designs" and that "They didn’t even try to change something and make it a bit less obvious." The Mega Meganium design appears to have been copied nearly identically, while the Mega Ceruledge resemblance is less blatant.

Pickmon's official YouTube channel has highlighted the negative publicity, writing, "A huge thank you to all the gaming media outlets! Thanks to your support, we’ve hit 25 million impressions in under 48 hours.
