Pickmon looks like a mash-up of Pokémon and Palworld
Nintendo’s lawsuit against Palworld hasn’t stopped new imitators. A recently revealed game called Pickmon blends monster-taming visuals and mechanics in ways that echo both Pokémon and Palworld. The trailer and key art show a tamer described as “we have Breath of the Wild Link at home,” a “Definitely Not Pikachu” creature on his shoulder, and monsters that wield firearms like in Palworld.
Several designs invite direct comparisons to Ceruledge, Charizard, Meganium, Lucario and Cobalion, alongside creatures similar to some of Palworld’s originals; other characters suggest imitations of Roadhog from Overwatch and the Story of Seasons cow. Rather than capture creatures with balls, Pickmon uses cards.
Pickmon is asking streamers and content creators to request access for an early experience ahead of public early access in 2027. Its Steam page lists PocketGame as the developer — this is the studio’s only Steam title — and the publisher NETWORKGO previously developed Hainya World.
