Cbssports reports the Detroit Pistons will host the Boston Celtics at Little Caesars Arena on Monday, Jan. 19, tipping off at 8 p.m. ET in a nationally televised MLK Day 2026 matchup between the top two teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Pistons are 30-10 and lead the Central Division, sitting 4.5 games ahead of Atlantic Division leader Boston (26-15). Detroit has won five of six, most recently a 121-78 victory over the Indiana Pacers, while the Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks 132-106 for their second straight win after losing three of four. This is the fourth meeting this season; the Pistons have won two prior matchups, including a 112-105 game in Boston on Dec. 15. Boston is without Jayson Tatum (torn Achilles) and Jaylen Brown scored 41 on Saturday, while Cade Cunningham is averaging 25.9 points and 9.6 assists for Detroit.

Betting lines list the Pistons as 3.5-point favorites with an over/under of 224.5; the money line is -156 for Detroit and +130 for Boston. Model projections cited in the preview favor a one-point outcome, with Detroit covering in 53% of simulations and winning outright 48% of the time as +130 underdogs. Suggested same-game parlay pieces from the source include Celtics +3.5, Jaylen Brown over 41.5 points/rebounds/assists and Cade Cunningham under 9.5 assists, with a SportsLine props model projecting Cunningham for 8.3 assists on Monday.
