Pixel Buds Pro 2 let me leave bulky headphones at home
I used to favor over-ear headphones for travel because of their sound and noise cancellation, but Google’s Pixel Buds Pro 2 replaced those headphones without giving up essential features. That change made these earbuds one of my favorite recent products. Google says they were designed to be the most comfortable earbuds, and that claim matches my experience.
They’re smaller, lighter, and provide a snug, secure fit that stays in place even during workouts — the most comfortable earbuds I’ve used. The Buds support a full set of tap and swipe gestures: single tap for play/pause or answering calls, double tap for the next track or ending/rejecting calls, triple tap for the previous track, press-and-hold for ANC control, and swipes for volume.
Sound is impressive for the size despite only supporting AAC and SBC codecs, with deeper, precise bass, clear vocals and energetic treble that make listening as enjoyable as on headphones.
