Play Pokémon Pokopia’s first event early by changing your Switch 2 clock
Pokémon Pokopia’s first time-limited event begins March 9 and adds Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff to the game. These grass-type Pokémon are exclusive to the event, so players who don’t play during the first month could miss them. If you already have the game you can access the event now by changing the Switch 2’s system clock.
IGN found that setting the console’s date and time to any point within the March 9–24 window unlocks the 'More Spores for Hoppip' event, suggesting the event is tied to the Switch 2’s clock rather than a patch. What remains unclear is whether the trick works the other way—someone who gets the game later might be able to turn back their console’s clock and still recruit Hoppip, Skiploom and Jumpluff after the official window closes.
Pokopia will likely receive future updates that are patched in rather than already in the game files, but this raises the possibility other events could already be accessible through time traveling.
