Play on the Schedule 1 beta branch for early access

TVGS sometimes pushes Schedule 1 updates to a beta branch a few days before they go live, letting players try new changes early. Test builds can be less stable, so back up your save file before swapping branches to avoid losing progress. To access the beta via Steam: back up your save first, open your Steam library and locate Schedule 1, right-click and select Properties, choose the fourth option (Game Versions & Betas), then pick beta from the build list (look for a recent update date).

Allow Steam to update to the beta build before launching, and make sure any friends you play with follow the same steps so you’re on the same build. When the beta moves to the main build, repeat the steps above and select Default Public Version instead of beta to revert.

Players who experience crashes or performance issues can try the alternate-beta branch or the alternate public build (titled 'alternate') to see which runs best on their hardware.
