Players spent over 10 billion monthly hours in Roblox in 2025, analyst says
Analyst Matthew Ball's 2025 games industry report lays out how dominant Roblox has become. Ball found the platform attracted over 150 million daily active users in 2025—a 69% rise over 2024—and players spent over 10 billion hours in Roblox each month, more than the hours spent on Steam, PlayStation, and Fortnite combined.
He says Roblox is even "starting to challenge Netflix for total hours of use," with engagement growth between 25% and 70% since 2022 while Netflix's growth slowed to about 1%. The platform's financial impact was substantial: Roblox accounted for 67% of all non-China growth in 2025, and its share of total consumer spending across PC, console, and mobile exceeded 4.5%.
Individual experiences on Roblox can outscale entire publishers—for example, Grow a Garden's average monthly hours in 2025 outpaced the 2024 monthly combined average of all Blizzard games.
