Players stunned by how big and feature-rich Pokopia already is
Now that Pokopia has been out in the wild for a solid day, players are reporting back — and most are very impressed. The game mixes the day-to-day jobs and chores of Animal Crossing with creative building elements reminiscent of Dragon Quest Builders and Minecraft, letting you tend Pokemon, gather materials as a human-y Ditto, place decorations and reshape large amounts of land.
"This game is HUGE," reads one common reaction. Many players say they feel overwhelmed: "I'm SO overwhelmed," one wrote, adding, "I have a job Nintendo. But I'm not complaining." Some bought it expecting "just Animal Crossing with a Pokemon skin," only to find something "more feature-rich and wider in scope than Animal Crossing has ever been." One fan claimed the first map "feels like it can give 10x more content than Animal Crossing," while another called Pokopia "the truest expression of Pokemon yet." The game is tied with Y as the Pokemon series' best title to date.
