Pocket Taco launches today, but Amazon shows taco kits
Back in January I shared my first GameSir Pocket Taco review, based on an early sample that quickly became my favorite controller for playing Game Boy classics on my phone and handhelds like the Analogue Pocket. The Pocket Taco releases today, but a search on Amazon currently returns Mexican meal kits; GameSir lists March 15 as the official release date for purchases made directly.
There are versions floating around on Aliexpress that appear slightly cheaper than the gamepad's $35 asking price, though buyers should expect long shipping times. The controller's silly name can distract from the hardware itself, but beneath the food puns there's a tidy little accessory worth talking about.
The Pocket Taco's core strengths are its mobile-first design. It clamps to the bottom of your phone and transforms a doomscroller into something that feels like a Game Boy.
