Pokémon hotel partners with clothing-rental service for travelers
Earlier this year, the Japanese hotel chain Mimaru announced the renovation and expansion of its Pokémon Rooms. The apartment-like rooms are decorated with an abundance of Pokémon on walls, ceilings and furniture; Poké Ball-themed comforters, plates and mugs sit alongside a giant plushie Snorlax on the bed.
On Wednesday, Mimaru unveiled a partnership with Any Wear, Anywhere so "you can now leave your clothes at home" when you stay at a Pokémon Room. Any Wear, Anywhere is "a clothing-sharing platform," and for guests it will "let international guests rent everyday outfits delivered directly to their hotel." The service is intended to remove the stress of packing and the risk of a lost suitcase.
"We rent everyday outfits you'll actually want to wear in Japan — so you can travel light, move freely, and fill your journey with more of what truly matters," the Any Wear, Anywhere website states. It may also help travelers who lack winter gear or who want to maximize suitcase space for merchandise.
