Pokémon Pokopia is only a week old and has sold more than 2.2 million copies in its first four days, with one million of those in Japan. That total places it fourth on the Nintendo Switch 2 sales list, behind Mario Kart World (14.03 million), Donkey Kong Bananza (4.25 million) and Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (3.89 million).

There is a caveat: sales figures for the other top titles cover through the end of 2025, so Kirby Air Riders' 1.76 million might be higher once 2026 sales are included. Physical copies of Pokopia briefly sold out, prompting Amazon to raise the game's price to $80; it's back in stock at major retailers and listed at $69.99 on Amazon at the time of writing.

Switch 2 owners have seen a steady flow of first-party releases since launch, from full games like Metroid Prime 4 in December and Mario Tennis Fever in February to expansions such as August's Star-Crossed World upgrade for Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
