Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Chaos Rising release date set

The Pokémon Trading Card Game’s Mega Evolution expansion Chaos Rising will launch worldwide on May 22, with prerelease tournaments running May 9–17 and a TCG Live release on May 21. Players will find Mega Floette ex, Mega Greninja ex, Mega Pyroar ex and Mega Dragalge ex among the new cards, and a new Espurr was also teased.

The set includes five Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, five Pokémon ex, 11 illustration rare Pokémon, 18 ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards, and six special illustration rare Pokémon and supporter cards. Chaos Rising features more than 120 cards overall, including at least 20 trainer cards and more than 35 special illustrations of trainers and their Pokémon.

It is the fourth expansion in the Mega Evolution block that began in late 2025 and reintroduced Mega Evolution as a form of traditional evolution rather than a mechanic tied to the Spirit Link tool card. The Mega Greninja ex Special Illustration Rare appears to be the set’s main chase and delivers the first-ever Mega Greninja in the TCG.
