Pokémon Winds and Waves gives Nurse Joy a new look

The three-minute debut trailer for Pokémon Winds and Waves briefly shows the Pokémon Center nurse with a different look. She is still draped in white but appears more summery, wearing a sun hat, sporting a tan and what looks like a ponytail, though the camera angle leaves open the possibility she still has the signature pigtail hoops.

The Pokémon Center itself uses open-air construction much like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It is unclear if all Pokémon Centers will look like this, but given Winds and Waves' apparent open world and its focus on the wilderness, we'll likely be seeing a lot of this type of pit stop.

The nurse clerk might not be the same everywhere. Pokémon Legends: Z-A introduced variants of the medical attendant who were unique to their locale, with different skin tones, eye shapes, eyebrows and more, and players could even battle against Nurse Joy there.
