Pokopia, the new Pokémon spin-off noted for cozy gameplay, includes a building mechanic that echoes Minecraft's Redstone. During the developer island tour, director Takuto Edagawa showed a creation he said he spent the latter half of 2025 on and demonstrated: "If you step on this, the lights gradually turn on, the waterfall starts flowing…" The device operates like a note block, powering lights, neon LEDs and a flowing waterfall, with an intentional time delay and a motion-sensing system.

Another clip from the tour shows a moving minecart activating note blocks to produce a little tune. Fans quickly compared the system to Redstone online, posting lines such as "THERE'S RED STONE MECHANICS IN POKOPIA?!" and calling it "inspired" by Minecraft. One thread read: "It's so hard to even compare Pokopia to Animal Crossing or Minecraft anymore with how specific you can be with the customization.
