There are 300 known Pokémon that can live in your towns in Pokopia, but the game won’t render all of them at once. Fans have found that only around 30 Pokémon will show up in an area at once, and any excess ones essentially despawn to make space. With four main maps in Pokopia, most of your town’s Pokémon won’t be visible at the same time.

That can be frustrating when a missing Pokémon is the one you need for a task. This isn’t a bug, but finding a vanished monster can be a hassle, and the writer hopes Game Freak and Omega Force will streamline this in a future patch. To locate a missing Pokémon, open the Pokédex to its page and press the plus button to “search.” Ask another nearby Pokémon; if the target is currently spawned the one you ask will point you toward them, and if not they’ll say they haven’t seen them lately.

When they aren’t spawned you must go to the missing Pokémon’s home, either on foot or by asking a Pokémon that knows Teleport to take you there, then use Honey to make them appear.
