Pokémon Pokopia teases a possible new Winds and Waves monster
Pokémon Winds and Waves will introduce new monsters, and Game Freak has so far only officially unveiled the three starters. The newly released life sim Pokémon Pokopia might already be hinting at one creature players could see in Winds and Waves in 2027. Shellos, a water-type sea slug from Sinnoh, appears in two forms: a pink West Sea version and a bluish Eastern Sea variant.
Bulbapedia links those color differences to temperature and diet. Pokopia, however, includes in-game text saying researchers are searching for 'heretofore unknown yellow Shellos,' a colorway that does not appear as players progress through the game. That line could be a bit of lore play, yet it aligns with Winds and Waves' heavy focus on weather and seafaring.
The game's debut trailer plunges into the water, sparking talk of a diving mechanic, and a new Shellos would fit that maritime emphasis.
