Police say "hope is fading" to find Chris Baghsarian alive as investigators work at an abandoned, derelict house on Wildthorn Ave in Dural after executing a warrant and establishing a crime scene following a large police presence on Thursday night. The 85-year-old was taken by three men who bundled him into a dark-coloured SUV outside his Sydney home just before dawn last Friday, and detectives previously said they believed he was alive after videos emerged showing him restrained in an unknown location.

Det Supt Andrew Marks said evidence obtained at the house suggested Baghsarian had been held there during the past week and that "Some good old fashioned police work with boots on the ground identified that location," he said. He appealed to residents to come forward with anything seen over the last seven days, including unusual arrivals or departures at the property.
