People reported Columbus detectives said in court documents that they identified 39-year-old Michael David McKee, the ex-husband of Monique Tepe, as a suspect in the Dec. 30 deaths of Monique, 39, and her husband, 37-year-old dentist Spencer Tepe, at their Columbus home. Detectives said they tracked McKee's vehicle through neighborhood surveillance, noting the car "arrived just prior to the homicides and left shortly after," and later located the vehicle in Rockford, Ill., where officers said they found evidence linking McKee to its ownership.

McKee was arrested on Saturday, Jan. 10, and charged with two counts of murder, according to Franklin County Municipal Court documents; a warrant had been issued earlier that day and Winnebago County Sheriff's Office records show he was booked shortly before 12 p.m. local time. He is set to be extradited to Franklin County and has a hearing scheduled for Jan.

12. Monique and Spencer were found dead after a co-worker grew concerned when Spencer did not show up for work and another colleague could not reach him for three hours; a friend who made multiple 911 calls said he could hear the couple's children, ages 1 and 4, crying inside the home, and officers pronounced the couple deceased at the scene, according to an incident report.
