Port Orchard police seek man after 15-year-old Ashlynn Hanley last seen Dec. 10
People reports police in Port Orchard, Washington, are searching for 15-year-old Ashlynn Hanley, who was last seen on Dec. 10 and has not been seen in over a month.
Police said Ashlynn was last seen wearing a pink puffy jacket and possibly heading to Seattle, and they want to speak to 45-year-old Lavelle Cotton after Fox 13 reported that a 2011 Buick Enclave registered to Cotton was the vehicle she was seen getting into. NBC reported authorities released surveillance footage showing Ashlynn entering that Buick. Her mother, Jade Hanley, told NBC Ashlynn had been released from a juvenile detention center days before and was wearing an ankle monitor; she had been staying with her grandmother, who took her to school on Dec. 10, but the ankle monitor was later cut off and last pinged near a bowling alley.
Police described Ashlynn as 5-foot-1 with brown hair and brown eyes, weighing about 102 lbs., and said Cotton is about 5-foot-9 and 130 lbs., and, according to police, also goes by Money Making Prince and Little P Dog. Port Orchard Deputy Chief Alan Iwashita told NBC, "We’ve been in contact with an individual identifying as Mr. Cotton on the phone," but noted they had not yet spoken to him in person; Cotton has not been accused of a crime.
