Poster campaign exposes alleged staff affair at Spence school

The Upper East Side was unsettled when posters appeared around the ultra-ritzy Spence school alleging an affair between two staff members. The printouts — spotted on lampposts outside the exclusive all-girls school on Tuesday morning — warned, “Attn Spence Families: [Redacted] is having an affair with [their] subordinate [,redacted,] who is married with a three year old son.” The notices listed the school job titles for both alleged parties, and one of the accused has worked at Spence for more than a decade.

Security removed the fliers, only for them to reappear by pick-up. Parents, who pay more than $70,000 a year in tuition, reacted strongly in group chats. “Every group chat is blowing up,” one source said. “People are literally losing their minds.” The school’s alumni include Gwyneth Paltrow, Kerry Washington, Georgina Bloomberg and Bee Shaffer.

A leading theory blames the married employee’s scorned wife: “The fact that the wife had the balls to go to Kinkos: Scorched earth policy,” a source said.
