Pragmata director appreciates comparisons to Xbox 360-era games
Players have already drawn comparisons between Pragmata and the Xbox 360/PS4 era, and director Cho Yonghee says the team is pleased by that response. He notes they have seen many comments saying it feels like an old-school game, and that reaction is something the developers welcome.
The game mixes traditional third-person shooting with a hacking twist: before Hugh can properly damage enemies with his weapons, you must use companion Diana’s skills to hack foes. Depending on what you have in your arsenal, those hacks can inflict debuffs that make enemies easier to kill.
Pragmata’s premise places you on a moon base alongside an android child, working together to escape an AI that has taken control. Exploring the abandoned and slightly topsy-turvy base adds platforming and traversal challenges—emerging bridges and laser-dashed routes often change how you move between areas and search for hidden items.
