Prime Video’s 15-Part Sci-Fi Western Is Winning Over ‘Yellowstone’ Fans

It’s been almost 20 years since Josh Brolin was nominated for his first and only Oscar for Milk, yet his career has remained busy. He earned global attention for his commanding villainous turn as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, and just last year he starred in the breakout horror hit Weapons.

He has also worked with Taylor Sheridan on a pair of Sicario movies that have enjoyed strong streaming runs in recent months. One of Brolin’s most underrated roles appears in both seasons of Outer Range, the 15-episode sci-fi Western streaming on Prime Video. The series follows a rancher fighting for his land and his family after discovering a mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness.

Brian Watkins created and wrote the show, which also stars Tamara Podemski as Deputy Sheriff Joy, Imogen Poots as Autumn Rivers, Lili Taylor as Cecilia Abbot, Tom Pelphrey as Perry Abbot, and Lewis Pullman as Rhett Abbot.
