Prime Video's God of War Casts Atreus
Prime Video's God of War series has cast Atreus, with Callum Vinson joining the show in the role. Atreus, often called "Boy" by Kratos, is the ten-year-old son who grew up in a remote forest cabin and was raised almost entirely by his mother, Faye. An accomplished archer with an affinity for animals, he is intensely curious about what lies beyond his home and yearns for his father's approval after his mother's death left him with a cold, distant Kratos.
Vinson's credits include Prime Video's Dead Ringers, as well as appearances on Poker Face and FBI: International. Ryan Hurst previously joined the series as Kratos, bringing a stellar presence to a character that will be challenging to embody. The show is inspired by the 2018 God of War game, which dealt with Norse mythology, and the video game franchise has been around since 2005.
