Princess Eugenie has resigned as a patron of Anti-Slavery International, ending a seven-year association with the charity. The organization said, “After seven years, our patronage from HRH Princess Eugenie of York has come to an end. We thank the Princess very much for her support for Anti-Slavery International.

We hope that she continues to work to end slavery for good and deliver freedom for everyone.” Her departure follows the arrest of her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, in February 2025 over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein. He was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office for allegedly passing on confidential trade documents to Epstein.

He also allegedly had sex with Virginia Giuffre, who was trafficked by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell; though he denied the claims, he made a multi-million dollar payment to Giuffre. Released emails revealed Andrew stayed in contact with Epstein years after he said that he’d cut ties.
