A preliminary private autopsy found that Renee Good, the 37-year-old woman killed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis this month, was shot at least three times, lawyers for her family said. The autopsy, described by the family’s lawyers, concluded Ms. Good sustained wounds to her head, arm and breast.

Two wounds were not immediately life-threatening: one struck her left forearm and another entered the right breast without penetrating major organs. A third bullet struck the left side of her head near the temple and exited on the right side, and the autopsy also noted a graze wound consistent with a firearm injury but without penetration.

The medical pathologist who conducted the autopsy was not named, and the lawyers’ firm declined to release the full report. Ms. Good, a U.S. citizen, was fatally shot by an ICE agent on Jan. 7 while driving in her S.U.V., a shooting that has prompted intense protests in Minneapolis and clashes between demonstrators and federal agents.

Federal officials have defended the agent’s actions as self-defense, while state and local officials have disputed that account. The Hennepin County medical examiner’s official autopsy has not been released, the F.B.I. is conducting an investigation, and Antonio M. Romanucci of Romanucci & Blandin said the family’s lawyers will continue to gather evidence as they pursue a civil investigation on behalf of Ms.
