Production Begins on Final Season of Mayor of Kingstown

Paramount+ confirmed production on the fifth and final season of Mayor of Kingstown is underway and shared a set photo to mark the start.

The new season opens in the aftermath of Tracy's murder and the vengeance visited upon Callahan by Mike and Kyle. FBI agent Russell Hardy (David Morse) arrives in Kingstown searching for the "fugitive" Callahan and threatens to unearth Mike’s sins and secrets, disrupting the town’s tenuous balance of power.

Jeremy Renner returns as Michael "Mike" McLusky. Also slated to appear are Edie Falco, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Necar Zadegan, Nichole Galicia and Lennie James.

Season 4 wrapped this past January, and the final season will run eight episodes rather than the 10-episode format of previous seasons. The series launched in 2021 as a Paramount+ exclusive.
