When will Project Hail Mary stream on Prime Video?

Project Hail Mary, based on Andy Weir's novel, is a new science-fiction film directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller and starring Ryan Gosling. Gosling plays Dr. Ryland Grace, a biologist who wakes aboard a spaceship with amnesia and discovers he is part of a mission to save Earth. The film opened in cinemas on March 20, 2026.

It will eventually get a home release, but Amazon MGM Studios' varied distribution strategy makes the timing uncertain. Using a typical 45–90 day theatrical-to-streaming window, a plausible date is June 3, 2026 — 75 days after the cinematic release.

For now the film is playing only in cinemas; the streaming release will be confirmed by the studio and updated when known.
