At Commonwealth Day services outside Westminster Abbey, protesters from anti-monarchy group Republic confronted King Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton with large yellow letters reading “What did you know?” Other signs said “Not My King” and “Down with the crown” as crowds shouted “What did you know?” and “Boo,” an apparent reference to ex-Prince Andrew’s alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

William, Middleton, King Charles and Queen Camilla appeared unaffected by the demonstration. Dressed in formal attire, the four walked past the protesters and into the service without acknowledging them. The former Duke of York was arrested on Feb. 19 on suspicion of alleged misconduct in office after documents related to the Epstein case were released; he was released the same day but could face a maximum sentence of life if convicted.
