Pulsar Playstore in Tokyo is a gaming-mouse wonderland
The writer long fantasised about living near a large mouse and mouse-pad testing facility and, to their delight, discovered one — only to find it is halfway across the world in Tokyo.
Called the Pulsar Playstore, the shop stocks numerous mice and pads for testing and even features a mouse wall. The space is described as something of a palace, a wonderland for enthusiasts who want to try hardware in person.
It is Pulsar’s second Playstore in Japan and opened at the end of January. The store is located on the 7th floor of the Sofmap Akiba PC & Digital Store in the heart of Tokyo’s premier gaming district.
Pulsar’s wide range of SKUs can be baffling: models include the X2 CrazyLight, the X2H, a Mini version and the X2N — and, for the record, an imagined X2H360noscope isn’t real. The writer admits they would likely spend an inordinate amount of time testing gear and never decide, but recommends the store to anyone passing through Tokyo who wants to try the latest gaming mice in person.
