Pulsar rep says Logitech's Superstrike will change the mouse market
Since the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike launched a few weeks ago, attention has turned to how its analogue and haptic switches might reshape the market. It is currently the only mouse with proper analogue switches that allow for super-light actuation and rapid trigger, so the question is less whether it will change things than when and by how much.
Ex-pro gamer and Pulsar marketing and sales specialist FrostyZK discussed the Superstrike on the MouseCast podcast, noting that lightweight designs have taken over and that Hall-effect sensors could be the next trend. He suggested many users will wait until their favourite brand or shape adopts the new tech rather than switching immediately.
FrostyZK also said other companies had been looking at haptic-style switches but were hesitant to pull the trigger, and he praised Logitech for taking the risk. "They're going to change the industry, so it is huge," he said, adding that Logitech executed and marketed the idea well.
