Beincrypto reports Pump.fun recorded $2.03 billion in daily DEX volume on January 6 even as its token PUMP dropped 18% over 24 hours.

The surge in platform activity coincided with a sharp reversal in price: PUMP traded near $0.00217 at the time of writing after erasing earlier gains. Active addresses initially rose with the volume spike, but many users exited positions as the price fell, suggesting participation was conditional and speculative rather than long-term.

Top-holder accumulation has been muted; the combined holdings of the top 100 PUMP wallets rose by just 0.87% over the past week, indicating limited conviction from large investors. Analysts in the piece said this weak accumulation reduces the likelihood of a durable rebound and leaves rallies dependent on short-term traders.

Immediate support sits around $0.00212, with a bearish path potentially testing $0.00191, while a sustained recovery would require roughly a 50% rally toward prior levels; a move above $0.00242 would, according to the analysis, invalidate the bearish outlook and signal renewed confidence.
