Pcgamer reports that in Quarantine Zone, from day seven onwards you must prevent survivors from bringing weapons, drugs, and zombie body parts into your camp, and many other items in suitcases can count as contraband.

Weapons such as blades, guns, explosives, chainsaws, axes and manual saws are contraband, while some tools like power drills and hammers are safe. Medications are treated as contraband, but alcohol and cigarettes are allowed; propane can be carried into the camp. You get a bonus for correctly confiscating contraband and are fined for taking safe items. A collection of teeth is not classed as zombie parts and is not contraband.

Some survivors hide contraband internally: use the x‑ray tool and switch to the "all" layer so organs won’t obscure hidden items, and check the back side. You cannot remove internal contraband yourself—tag the item and interact with Charlie (the fella in the Hazmat suit) to have him extract it; he places removed items on the table for inspection. Zombie body parts are against camp rules but, due to infection risk, should not be confiscated unless you are on the Modern Prometheus quest; the survivor who brought them is considered infected and must be sent to liquidation. Internal contraband also appears on your symptom list and should be marked as a symptom to maximize research points.
