Rangers overturn Celtic to win 3-1 after Chermiti brace and Moore strike
Rangers came from behind to beat Celtic 3-1, with Youssef Chermiti scoring twice before Mikey Moore added a third.
Celtic had taken the lead through Yang’s 20th-minute goal and went into half-time 1-0 ahead after dominating early possession and chances.
Rangers levelled on 51 minutes when Chermiti finished a cut-back after Diomande’s involvement and then put the visitors ahead on 59 minutes with a well-taken angled shot past Kasper Schmeichel.
Moore completed the turnaround on 71 minutes when a through pass from Gassama found him and he drove a shot across Schmeichel into the far corner to make it 3-1.
The match saw tactical changes and substitutions — including Diomande coming on for Thelonious Aasgaard and Celtic introducing Yamada and Hatate later — as under-fire Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy faced pressure after a poor run of results.
Celtic had moments after falling behind but were unable to mount a comeback as Rangers seized control in the second half.
