Ransom note gives crucial clue to Savannah Guthrie's missing mom Nancy's location
Six days into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, TMZ founder Harvey Levin said a “very detailed” ransom note has provided a possible location. Levin, speaking on CNN after the first deadline passed, said the demand letter his team was emailed disclosed a radius around Tucson that investigators can use.
He added it appears impossible to trace the origin of the email. The alleged note described Nancy as “OK but scared” and “aware of the letter and the demands,” which included millions in Bitcoin. Levin said the message insisted there would be no further communication or negotiation and warned police “would be no help.” He called the letter specific, well-organized and “layered,” not something thrown together or produced by artificial intelligence, and called an upcoming deadline “far more consequential.” FBI special agent Heath Yorke said the note mentioned Nancy’s Apple Watch and a damaged floodlight on the property.
