Rashford told there’s ‘something wrong’ if he can’t enjoy football at Man Utd
Marcus Rashford is currently thriving on loan at Barcelona, where he has revitalised his career. The 28-year-old has 10 goals and 13 assists in 35 appearances, helping the Blaugrana to the top of La Liga and a place in the Champions League last 16, and he made nine goal contributions across eight appearances in the league phase.
The contrast with his time at Old Trafford has invited scrutiny. Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson questioned Rashford’s approach to pressure, saying: "If you can’t enjoy your football at Manchester United, there’s something wrong with you." Robson added he was unsure about bringing Rashford back amid squad competition, noting players such as Amad Diallo, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount and Patrick Dorgu and raising concerns about perceived attitude.
Back home, Michael Carrick has focused on strengthening United’s defensive foundation and their counter-attacking options.
