Rebecca Ferguson’s Mercy Overtakes Transcendence at Box Office

Having been released rather unceremoniously on the PVOD market, the sci‑fi Mercy has largely disappeared from theaters. Starring Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson, the film will probably do well on home video considering its strong audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, but it failed to recoup its reported $60 million budget and recently passed what will likely be its final theatrical milestone—overtaking another star‑studded sci‑fi misfire in the process.

Mercy opened to poor reviews and an underwhelming box office reception in January, grossing just $11 million in its opening weekend.
