Rebecca Ferguson’s 4-Part Sci-Fi Hit Loses Fans Following Final Season Reveal
For a time Silo felt like one of Apple TV’s most durable prestige engines, but the show’s momentum cooled after Apple set Season 4 as the final season and confirmed production had finished. Though the series was renewed last year for Seasons 3 and 4, it has dropped out of Apple TV’s top 10 and now sits behind Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Hijack, Shrinking and others.
Rebecca Ferguson stars as Juliette Nichols, with Common, Harriet Walter, Tim Robbins, Avi Nash and Steve Zahn among the key cast. The series remains one of Apple’s best-reviewed sci-fi dramas, but the final-season revelation appears to have made it feel more finite and less like an endless mystery box viewers need to keep chasing.
Tania Hussain awarded the second season an 8/10, praising its uniquely immersive environment and razor-sharp writing and noting how the show grounds Orwellian elements in tense, relatable human struggles. She singled out Steve Zahn’s performance and his chemistry with Ferguson.
