Rebecca Gayheart shares family photos after Eric Dane's death

Rebecca Gayheart posted a series of intimate family photos to her Instagram Stories two days after her husband, Eric Dane, died at 53 following a battle with ALS. The images showed Dane with their daughters, Billie, 15, and Georgia, 14, including a birthday cake moment, a throwback of him smiling in bed with the girls, tubing outings and an ice cream run, as well as a picture of Gayheart pregnant at a pumpkin patch.

Alongside the photos Gayheart shared a link to a GoFundMe set up by friends and wrote, “Thank you to everyone.” The fundraiser notes Dane left behind his “devoted wife, Rebecca, and his two teenage daughters, Billie and Georgia,” and says friends organized the effort to support the girls as his illness progressed.

Dane and Gayheart married in 2004, filed for divorce in 2018 and called off the proceedings in March 2025; Dane went public with his ALS diagnosis a month later.
